Ms. Thalita

Ms. Thalita brings warmth, experience, and joyful energy to her classroom. Originally from Brazil and raised in Brooklyn, she has spent the past 24 years teaching young learners and helping them fall in love with reading. After seven wonderful years teaching in Miami—including last year in 3rd grade—she is excited to return to early childhood, where her heart has always been.

Families appreciate her calm, encouraging presence and her ability to make every child feel seen. She believes that learning should be playful, hands‑on, and full of discovery. Her lessons are a place where children grow confident, curious, and proud of their progress.

When she’s not teaching, Ms. Thalita loves dancing, traveling, writing, and spending time with friends and family. She trained in capoeira for 20 years, enjoys long bike rides, and finds her happiest moments at the beach. Sunflowers, dolphins, and monkeys are a few of her favorite things—and she brings that same bright, joyful spirit into her work with young readers.
