Whose Children Have Become Confident Readers

Reading In PreSchool offers early literacy support through in-person tutoring and learning products built around The Alexander Reading Method. Families often come to us before a child falls behind. That early start gives children time to build reading skills through a phonics-based approach that supports learners from the earliest stages through second grade and beyond.

Our Curriculum

At Reading In PreSchool, our tutoring focuses on helping your child become a stronger, more confident reader. We meet your child where they are and guide them forward with clear, personalized instruction that keeps them engaged and supported. Our primary curriculum is built around The Alexander Reading Method.

The Alexander Reading Method is a phonics-based curriculum that teaches children letters, sounds, blending, decoding, writing, and other core literacy skills in a way that feels engaging and approachable. Lessons are play-based and designed to help children build strong foundations while developing confidence and a genuine love of learning.

Each child begins with an assessment so we can understand their needs and place them appropriately. While we use The Alexander Reading Method Curriculum as our foundation, our teachers customize lessons to fit each child. If a school has specific goals or requirements, we can adjust instruction to support those needs.

How is this Different From a Traditional Phonics Reading Program?

While many families search for a phonics reading program, The Alexander Reading Method goes a step further by combining foundational reading skills with comprehension, retention, and long-term learning habits. Instead of focusing only on sounding out words, children learn how to break words into sounds, blend them together, and recognize common spelling patterns so reading becomes more automatic.
